Stuart cites the front formal living room as his favourite space and the couch in the room as his favourite piece of furniture in the house. Here he relaxes and watches the footy. ‘The versatility of a second living room makes a house a great home,’ says Stuart.
Renowned for its family friendly feel, café culture and beautiful tree lined streets, Camberwell is an established, affluent suburb well serviced by transport and amenities, with a wealth of parklands. ‘My favourite local spots to unwind are Legacy Café for a hot chocolate with the kids, as well as Camberwell Sports Ground for a kick of the footy,’ says Stuart.
For close to two decades Stuart has worked in the real estate industry. ‘I love it! Working with brilliant, inspiring people in our office is amazing,’ says Stuart. An integral part of the team at Hawthorn, Stuart focuses on selling family homes in Boroondara. Two such homes that have stood out to him have been 9 Dominic Street, Camberwell and 28 Warburton Road, Canterbury for their exceptionally spacious dimensions, well suited to modern family lifestyles.
Noticing a shift in the real estate environment in recent times, Stuart notes the industry has moved more towards a corporate environment. ‘Agents have become more skilled and more professional. Buyers and sellers are also more educated as there is so much information available to them now,’ says Stuart.
Stuart predicts the market will remain strong with good buying opportunities and strong outcomes for vendors with well-presented properties in good locations. ‘I feel we will experience a steady market over the next six to twelve months, one that will be great to transact in,’ says Stuart.
