The Marshall White Foundation

Who we are

The Marshall White Foundation, established in 2015, supports Melbourne's most vulnerable community members. With a $100,000 seed investment from Marshall White, the Foundation has built a self-sustaining model of support. Through charitable partnerships, we work to create meaningful change and expand our reach to help those in need.

Who we help

The Marshall White Foundation focuses on assisting women affected by domestic violence, mental health challenges, and homelessness. We have forged partnerships with two outstanding charitable organisations, You Matter and Launch Housing, to strengthen our support and broaden our impact, ensuring meaningful and lasting change for society's most vulnerable individuals.

You Matter aids women and children affected by domestic violence, providing comprehensive support from shelter (havens) to counselling and legal assistance. Launch Housing addresses homelessness through emergency and long-term housing solutions, alongside tailored support services. In 2022, the Foundation established the Parachute Fund in partnership with Launch Housing to provide timely support to women at risk of becoming homeless.

You Matter - In FY24, You Matter significantly increased their impact, creating 83 havens, which are homes for at-risk women and their children or dependents. These 83 havens served 83 women and 118 dependents year-to-date, building upon the 46 havens created last financial year, contributing to a total of 222 havens since the launch of the organisation.

These statistics reflect the incredible impact You Matter is making, and Marshall White is honoured to be a part of this life-changing work.

Marshall White Foundation Ball 2024

The Marshall White Foundation Ball, our annual fundraising event, is a key initiative in supporting our charity partners, You Matter and Launch Housing. This year, 400 guests gathered at the Grand Hyatt Hotel for a carnival-themed evening of entertainment, philanthropy, and community spirit. Throughout the night, attendees enthusiastically participated in a raffle, silent auction, and live auction, generously furthering our efforts to make a difference. The black-tie Ball is more than just a social event; it is a resounding affirmation of our commitment to creating positive change and building a brighter future for those in need.
