Rae Tomlinson – Partner
For me, real estate isn’t about gender - it’s about passion. If you love the job, you love the people, the transaction, and the deal. That’s what drives success. The legacy I hope to leave for women in real estate is simple: believe in yourself. If you know you’re the best person for the job, go after it with confidence. When I first applied for a role, I was rejected. But I called back and said, “You’ve made the wrong decision.” I got the job at Marshall White. That belief shaped my career and led to my proudest achievement - becoming Marshall White’s first female Director. With few women in the industry when I started, Marshall White himself became my greatest mentor, reinforcing the strong belief I had in myself.
Mandy Stanley – Business Manager to Marcus Chiminello
Growing up, my father’s career in real estate sparked my passion for property and, in particular, strong client relationships. As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, it’s empowering to thrive and create opportunities for others. My advice for women looking to enter real estate? Think big - then think bigger. Surround yourself with people who support your growth. My proudest moments come from seeing my team succeed. The industry has evolved, with more women in leadership, but there’s still room for growth. I am inspired by the incredible women I work with, and on International Women’s Day, I reflect on progress and the importance of paying it forward.
Nicole French – Director
Real estate is all about relationships, and I love the trust and connections I build with clients. It’s also incredibly rewarding to empower other women in a traditionally male-dominated industry. The flexibility allows me to balance my career and personal life while inspiring the next generation. I take great pride in being part of Marshall White, where there’s no glass ceiling for women. Serving on the Marshall White Foundation board has been especially meaningful, helping fund safe havens for at-risk women and children. Supporting my clients, team, and community is what drives me every day.
Ashlee Verma – Property Management Team Manager / Associate Director
I was initially drawn to real estate by the appeal of beautiful homes, but I found my true passion in property management. Twenty years later, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Building relationships, solving challenges, and creating positive experiences for clients and colleagues has been incredibly fulfilling. Real estate is built on trust and intuition - qualities many women naturally bring. I love empowering others, whether supporting clients,
mentoring colleagues, or inspiring future female leaders. I’m grateful for a supportive environment and inspiring leaders like Property Management Director Paula Matlock. International Women’s Day celebrates progress and reminds us to uplift one another - because when women support women, we all rise.
Abby Innes – Sales Executive
As a woman, I love bringing empathy, intuition, and strong negotiation skills to the table. Success in this industry isn’t about fitting into a mould - it’s about authenticity. I hope to inspire more women to lead, mentor, and shape the future of real estate with confidence. Being asked to join Marshall White was a defining milestone, giving me the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and deliver outstanding results. The industry has become more inclusive, with more women excelling at the highest levels, though progress is ongoing. I’ve been inspired by many incredible women at Marshall White, whose ambition and authenticity continue to motivate me. International Women’s Day is a celebration of our achievements and a reminder to uplift and champion one another.
Kierra Hagedorn – Projects Director
Starting in reception in 2011, I never imagined I’d one day be a Director - it’s been a rewarding and humbling journey. While women are still the minority, I see it as a superpower, bringing empathy and understanding to every experience. My goal is to show women they can succeed as their authentic selves - history doesn’t dictate our future. Being offered a Directorship while on maternity leave was a pivotal moment, proving women can pursue ambitious careers without sacrificing family. The industry has evolved - women are now decision-makers, leaders, and the glue holding businesses together. International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate progress and uplift those coming behind us, making the path a little easier for the next generation.
Fiona Counsel – Sales Executive / Auctioneer
Representing a brand you believe in and aligning with similar work ethics is essential. Marshall White’s loyalty mirrors my own - shared values are non-negotiable when dedicating yourself to a career. I love seeing my colleagues succeed and sharing knowledge - learning never stops. Real estate isn’t just a job; it’s a career and lifestyle. Hard work is key - there are no free rides. My proudest moments come when clients recognise my professionalism and service. Women juggle so many roles, and while progress in the industry is steady, we just get on with it. International Women’s Day is a wonderful celebration of women and their resilience.
Jowei Lim - Head of Property & Marketing Operations
Attending open homes and auctions with my family as a teen sparked my passion for real estate and led me to pursue it as a career. Real estate is about people, not just transactions. I love bringing empathy and understanding to high-pressure situations, creating a smoother experience for everyone. My goal is to foster a culture where women feel supported in both their personal and professional lives - one my daughter can look up to. Passion and drive are key to breaking into the industry. Research, attend auctions, and immerse yourself in the market to build confidence. Women have gained more influence, leading teams and agencies. I’m inspired by those who lead with confidence and empathy. International Women’s Day is about celebrating progress and empowering future generations.
Jean Loh - Senior Accounts Manager
I aspire to leave a legacy of gender equality and inclusivity in real estate - one that empowers women to speak up, advocate for themselves, and thrive. The industry offers endless opportunities for growth, transferable skills, and career development. Be brave - take the leap; you’ll be amazed where real estate can take you. The industry has become more inclusive, with more women in leadership. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors, especially my manager of seven years, who has shaped my leadership and skills. International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate achievements, share stories, and inspire future generations - there are no limits to what women can accomplish.
By leading with authenticity and strength, the women of Marshall White are proving that the future of real estate is brighter, more inclusive, and full of opportunity for all.
